Among Democratic primary candidates, March On PAC points to Stratton and Jackson Jr. as leaders who embody the principled, people-first fight voters are demanding in this moment

Washington, DC – With just one week to go until Illinois voters head to the polls, March On PAC today announced its endorsements of Lieutenant Governor Juliana Stratton for U.S. Senate and Jesse Jackson Jr. for Congress in their respective Democratic primaries, citing the urgency of this political moment as working families face rising costs, democratic institutions remain under strain, and voters demand stronger, more visible leadership from within the Democratic Party.

As part of its early 2026 endorsement strategy, March On PAC said it is prioritizing candidates who demonstrate the courage to confront extremism, stand clearly with working people, and provide the kind of leadership necessary to strengthen the Democratic Party for the fights ahead.

On the endorsement in the Senate race, Andrea Pringle, President of March On PAC. Pringle stated, “Lieutenant Governor Stratton has shown she is prepared to take the fight directly to the Trump administration’s agenda and to stand firmly on the side of working people, reproductive freedom, and economic fairness. She is consolidating broad progressive support because voters recognize her as the kind of leader this moment demands. As a Black woman seeking to serve in the United States Senate, Stratton’s leadership would not only make history, it would strengthen the Democratic Party with the clarity and conviction needed to meet this political moment.”

Regarding the congressional endorsement, Pringle added, “Jesse Jackson Jr. carries forward a legacy of principled public service rooted in the fight for working people and civil rights. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated the kind of consistent, values-driven leadership that puts communities first and never loses sight of who government should serve. At a time when many voters are searching for leaders they can trust, Jackson’s record of advocacy and the enduring legacy of his family’s fight for justice reflect the seriousness and commitment this moment requires.”

March On PAC said the endorsements reflect its broader commitment to supporting Democratic leaders who combine lived experience, deep community roots, and a proven willingness to fight for policies that improve the lives of working families.

In this cycle, March On PAC is backing its Illinois endorsements with direct financial contributions and voter engagement efforts designed to help elevate leaders who can both energize the Democratic base and provide governing leadership in Congress.

Powered by grassroots donors across the country, March On PAC continues to invest in candidates who reflect the New American Majority and who are prepared to lead with courage, credibility, and a clear commitment to working people.
